Our EXPRESS YOURSELF program is now fully subscribed for 2022.
We apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment that this may cause.
EXPRESS YOURSELF! Is a program of contemporary music making and performance. The program focuses on lyric creation, songwriting and personal expression culminating in musical performance.  Each workshop commences with a dynamic Hip Hop performance featuring touring MC and DJ artists. Original work and freestyle delivery will encourage student participation in lyric writing, personal expression and performance.

Participating students gain an insight into writing , composing, producing and performing works of self expression in musical genres not commonly found in schools.  This is an inclusive approach requiring no previous musical experience by the participating students.

Express Yourself is targeted at students in years 7-10 but can also be adapted for use in years 5 and 6.  The program is a school incursion activity, available to all schools in the Melbourne metropolitan area and regional centres.  Rural or more isolation schools can join the program at any of the regional locations as an excursion activity.

Express Yourself performances run for approximately 50 minutes.

In addition to the performance workshop the program also includes a suite of free online resources for students that can be built into an an 8-week unit of work.

This enables EXPRESS YOURSELF to be used again as a sustainable, continuing school program.
