It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of David Price OBE.

David was the founder of Musical Futures and the initial project leader on behalf of the Paul Hamlyn Foundation.  A regular visitor to Australia David has helped thousands of teachers around the country develop their music programs.  David was awarded an Order of the British Empire by the late Queen Elizabeth for his services to education.

Musical Futures Australia mourns the loss of David, our founder, mentor and above all friend.

Musical Futures Australia:
engage, innovate, create

No matter where they live in the world, children and young people love music and that love of music brings with it a vast array of benefits.  Through music we develop social and personal skills, skills that are transformative and transferable to many other aspects of our lives both currently and into the future.

Musical Futures is a learner-led approach to the teaching and learning of music that promotes innovation, creativity, inclusion, diversity and lots and lots of music-making. We lead the world in the development of accessible, engaging and relevant music programs that can be delivered sustainably to every student, class or school wherever they are in the world.
